The quarterback position has been one Broncos GM John Elway has never been able to figure out in Denver, with the lone bright spot being the signing of Peyton Manning for a few seasons. Outside of that, it's been miss after miss, and 2019 is another example of that.

There's no question that the Joe Flacco move hasn't worked out. Although, Denver still has a chance to hit on 2019 second-round pick Drew Lock, but the rookie QB is still not ready to take snaps due to injury. If the Broncos decide to go in a different direction than Lock, here are three quarterbacks Denver should consider selecting in the 2020 NFL Draft.

1. Jake Fromm, Georgia

The junior quarterback from Georgia was considered among the most NFL-ready quarterbacks in the country prior to the season. Jake Fromm has been great through 10 games, passing for 1,968 yards with 16 touchdowns and three interceptions. He is an incredibly smart player, possessing the ability to break down defenses with the best of them. His biggest con is his raw arm talent, which is closer to average than elite, but playing in the high altitude in Denver could help him out a bit there.

2. Justin Herbert, Oregon

Widely considered the third-best quarterback in the draft, behind Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa (pending a full recovery from injury), Justin Herbert to Denver would make a ton of sense. The senior quarterback has shown a lot of maturity, looking like he could step into an NFL huddle immediately. He has completed 69.6 percent of his passes for 2,662 yards this season. He also has a 28-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. On top of this, we know Elway loves big quarterbacks, and Herbert stands with a 6-foot-6-inch frame.

3. Jacob Eason, Washington

Junior quarterback Jacob Eason is another big quarterback that could catch Elway's eye, possessing a 6-foot-5-inch frame. He is a bit more careless with the football than the previous two names on this list, resulting in seven interceptions this season, albeit alongside 20 touchdowns. However, he may have more raw talent than Fromm and Herbert, which could also give him the highest ceiling of the three.
