Even though the 2019 NFL season hasn't even begun, there are a handful of coaches whose jobs could be up for grabs soon if they don't start out strong.

While last season is over and done with, NFL owners are not quick to forget about last year's disappointments. Thus, every season, there are coaches that enter the year with an even slimmer margin for error than the rest of the league.

With that in mind, here are three coaches who are on the hot seat ahead of the 2019 NFL season.

3. Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers

Despite having a career win percentage of .648 and bringing two Super Bowl titles to Pittsburgh, Mike Tomlin could see his tenure as the Steelers' head coach come to an end if the team does not perform immediately. Tomlin failed to lead the Steelers to a playoff berth for the first time in five years, and was maligned for not being able to manage his team's emotions during a spat between star receiver Antonio Brown and the team's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. With Brown now in Oakland, and Le'Veon Bell with the New York Jets, Tomlin needs to prove that he is a solution and not a part of the problem.

2. Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers

Many thought Ron Rivera would already be on a short leash after new owner David Tepper bought the Carolina Panthers prior to last season. However, the Panthers finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs, but Rivera is still their coach. If the Panthers can't rebound from last season, Rivera could be on his way out of Carolina soon.

1. Dan Quinn, Atlanta Falcons

It's safe to say that the Atlanta Falcons have yet to recover from their historic let down against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI, in which they lost after leading 28-3. After losing in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2017, and then going 7-9 and failing to make the playoffs in 2018, it appears the team is trending in the wrong direction. Despite having a career win percentage of .563, Quinn might not make it through the season if the Falcons don't perform at a higher level.
