The Buffalo Bills had a strong 2019 season that was capped off by their second playoff appearance in 20 years. Although it ended with a heartbreaking loss to the Houston Texans, the Bills are set for another big year in 2020.

However, after the year, GM Brandon Beane and the front office will face some serious roster questions as key starters hit free agency. Here's a list of the three most important Bills players who are going to be free agents next year.

1. Dion Dawkins, LT

A second-round pick in 2017, Dion Dawkins has been the Bills' reliable left tackle for the last three seasons. He hasn't missed a game since he took over the starting role, garnering a reputation as a strong offensive lineman with plenty of years left in his career. His skillset is quite impressive too, having added 2 receiving touchdowns in his short career. Dawkins is one of the most important players on the roster and will be a top priority for the Bills and other teams in free agency.

2. Matt Milano, LB

Matt Milano has been one of Buffalo's great success stories. A former fifth-round pick, Milano is now a mainstay of the starting defense. He was a key part of Buffalo's rock-solid run defense last year and tallied 101 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 9 pass breakups. Milano is a rising linebacker and will be looking for a big pay raise from his fifth-round rookie deal when he hits free agency in 2021.

3. Trent Murphy, DE

Trent Murphy is heading into the final year of a three-year, $22.5 million contract he signed with the Bills in 2018. The defensive end has been a consistent presence for the Bills' pass rush, tallying another 5 sacks over 16 starts last year. Although the arrival of Mario Addison complicates matters at the position, Murphy is still a valuable, experienced defensive end who many teams would love to have.
