The WNBA season is already at its midway point and there have been some underwhelming as well as surprising teams up to this point. However, it shouldn't come as a shock to see the Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm lead the way in the odds to take home the WNBA Championship in 2021.
The Aces currently have the best odds set at +200, while the Storm are close behind with odds set at +250, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Of course, these two teams met in the Finals last year and it ended in a series sweep for the Storm. Seattle currently sits atop the WNBA standings with an impressive 15-4 record, which includes an 8-1 mark on the road. On the other side, Las Vegas is just 1.0 game back with a 14-5 record.
The Aces' success so far has a lot to do with the play of A'ja Wilson and Liz Cambage. Both players are averaging over 14.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. They each also have at least 21 blocks on the season and present a daunting duo on the defensive end of the court.
The Storm are led by star player Breanna Stewart and veteran Sue Bird. Stewart has been stellar so far this season leading the team in average points per game (21.3) as well as rebounds per game (9.6). Meanwhile, Bird is all over the stats sheet and is averaging a team-high 5.7 assists per game.
These odds are sure to keep changing as the WNBA season rolls on, but it seems to be a two-team race right now. Here's a look at FanDuel Sportsbook's updated 2021 WNBA Championship odds list.
