The NCAA College Football bowl season has finally arrived and it features a number of exciting matchups. The 2021 Las Vegas Bowl is set to kickoff at 10:30 p.m. EST on December 30 between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Wisconsin Badgers.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Wisconsin is opening as a heavy favorite over Arizona State. The Badgers are currently slated as 7-point favorites over the Sun Devils.
CFB Las Vegas Bowl Odds
Wisconsin has odds set at -265 on the moneyline, while Arizona State owns +210 odds to pull off the upset.
This shouldn't come as a major surprise given Wisconsin was featured in AP Top 25 throughout the second half of the season and played in a tough Big Ten conference (8-4 record). Meanwhile, Arizona State was inconsistent all season despite taking on a much easier strength of schedule (8-4 record).
These two storied programs have faced off four times prior to this bowl game, with the Sun Devils coming out on top in three instances. Arizona State took down Wisconsin by a score of 32-30 in the most recent meeting back in 2013 thanks to what ended up being a very controversial ending.
This is the Badgers' 20th consecutive season with a bowl appearance and it's safe to say they wouldn't be where they are now without true freshman running back Braelon Allen. The 17-year-old has rushed for 1,109 yards and scored 12 touchdowns while averaging 7.1 yards per carry this year.
On the other side, head coach Herm Edwards has his squad ready to compete in its highest bowl placement since the 1996 Rose Bowl. This offense is guided by senior running back Rachaad White, who has racked up 1,456 yards from scrimmage and 16 total touchdowns across 11 games played.
