Teams across MLB are busy putting the final touches on their coaching staffs for the 2023 season. The Chicago White Sox's bench will certainly look a bit different next year with Pedro Grifol taking over as manager.

On Tuesday, Chicago announced its official group of coaches for the 2023 campaign.

A few things stand out from this staff. Charlie Montoyo is taking over as bench coach after being fired as manager of the Toronto Blue Jays. Meanwhile, the White Sox poached Atlanta Braves assistant Jose Castro to become their new hitting coach.

Maybe the most surprising is Daryl Boston serving as first base coach once again. It was reported after the season ended that Boston wouldn't be returning to join Grifol's staff, but he's now apparently been retained. Eddie Rodriguez will be opposite of him at third base.

This is sure to be a busy offseason as Chicago looks to retool after missing the playoffs for the first time in three years. The White Sox are currently No. 11 in FanDuel Sportsbook's 2023 World Series odds.
