Week 4 of the NFL season features an exciting matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers. FanDuel Sportsbook shows the Packers as 6.5-point favorites, suggesting an uphill battle for the Steelers on Sunday.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 4 showdown.
Najee Harris Fantasy
Start Najee Harris, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Fantasy managers who drafted Najee Harris look like they'll be laughing all the way to the fantasy playoffs. There's one running back and one running back only on the Steelers' pecking order. Harris leads the team with 40 rushing attempts. His backup, Benny Snell Jr., has just 2 attempts on the year. Not only is Harris involved heavily in the running game, but he's a serious threat to catch passes. On the year, Harris ranks second on the team with 27 targets, turning those into 20 receptions with 149 yards and 1 touchdown. Harris hasn't found the end zone on the ground in 2021, but that should change quickly. He's a must-start, and an obvious start, but his numbers are worth noting. Green Bay has a top-10 passing defense (206.0 yards per game), but ranks middle of the pack (16th) with 115.3 rushing yards allowed per game. The running defense is the unit to attack and Harris should be seen early and often in Week 4.
Davante Adams Fantasy
Start Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers: Davante Adams takes on a similar situation as Najee Harris. He's an obvious fantasy starter each and every week, but he could feast in Week 4 against a Steelers defense that gives up the sixth most fantasy points per game to WRs. The All-Pro wideout is leaps and bounds above every other wide receiver on the roster. In fact, his 34 targets is nearly 20 more than Aaron Rodgers' second favorite target in Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Adams finally found the end zone last week on a ridiculous 12-catch, 132-yard performance. He'll be featured heavily again in this one and fantasy managers can count on another monster performance.
Chase Claypool Fantasy
Sit Chase Claypool, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: Now that the obvious starters have been revealed, let's talk about who to avoid. For the Steelers, Chase Claypool is a sit this week. Claypool has been a disappointment thus far, only topping 10.0 PPR fantasy points in Week 3, when Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster got hurt. Both Johnson and Smith-Schuster are trending towards a return in Week 4 and that foils most potential value for Claypool thus far. Claypool saw 15 targets in Week 3, but he was just third on the team with 14 through the first two games. Claypool looks to slide back into a No. 3 role upon Johnson and Smith-Schuster's return. Additionally, he's only caught 51.7% of his targets this season. Not a knock on his play, but rather pointing to his boom-or-bust value considering the subpar quarterback play. Green Bay also features top-10 passing defense (206.0 yards per game) and isn't a favorable matchup for the struggling Steelers.
Robert Tonyan Fantasy
Sit Robert Tonyan, TE, Green Bay Packers: Robert Tonyan entered the season with high expectations after finished as TE3 last year. Unfortunately, his 2021 has started off very slow. Tonyan ranks fourth on the Packers in targets, but that number stands at only 8. Tonyan's targets have also dipped as the early season rolls on, going from 4 in Week 1, to 3 in Week 2, and just one last week. Aaron Rodgers has leaned heavily into his favorite target Davante Adams and his running back Aaron Jones. That pair owns more than 51% of Green Bay's target share, leaving the rest of the team's playmakers on the outside looking in and proving Tonyan should be avoided (if possible) in Week 4.
