Week 4 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Lions vs Bears

The Detroit Lions will head into Week 4 looking for their first win of the season when they travel to take on the Chicago Bears. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bears slated as 3-point home favorites in a game that is sure to have fantasy football implications.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 4 NFC showdown.
Quintez Cephus Fantasy
Start Quintez Cephus, WR, Detroit Lions: Wide receiver Quintez Cephus wasn't able to replicate his Week 2 success in Week 3, but he remains the No. 1 WR on this Detroit offense. Cephus has now played in at least 71% of the offensive snaps in back-to-back games and is tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (2). The Bears have been susceptible to allowing big games to opposing wideouts and are giving up the eighth-most PPR fantasy points to the position. Having a spread set at 3 points means this game is expected to be close. Look for Cephus to take advantage of that by seeing an increase in targets.
David Montgomery Fantasy
Start David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears: Nothing went right for the Chicago Bears in Week 3 as rookie quarterback Justin Fields was sacked a whopping nine times. Head coach Matt Nagy needs to switch things up, and leaning on running back David Montgomery would be a smart move. The third-year back is averaging 4.4 yards per rushing attempt this season and now faces a Lions defense that has posted the fourth-worst rush defense DVOA rating in the NFL. Everything lines up for Montgomery to have a solid performance if given the carries. Don't overthink it and slide him into a starting spot this week.
Jared Goff Fantasy
Sit Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions: Quarterback Jared Goff has proven he is going to be a reliable streaming option most weeks this season. However, this week is not one of them. The Bears have posted the ninth-best pass defense DVOA rating so far and are allowing just 231.3 passing yards per game (No. 11 in NFL). Goff failed to throw a touchdown pass in Week 3 and the Lions are averaging 4.5 yards per rush attempt. That ties for the ninth-highest mark in the league. Look for Detroit to lean on their two-headed backfield of D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams in order to keep this game close.
Cole Kmet Fantasy
Sit Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears: Don't get it twisted, this is not a hard matchup by any means for Bears tight end Cole Kmet. However, the second-year pro has shown no reason to be started in fantasy football. Kmet has hauled in just 1 pass in each of the last two games and has racked up a total of 53 yards this season. On a positive note, Kmet did play in 96% of the offensive snaps in Week 3. It is clear the team is attempting to get him involved and he is still worth a roster spot. That's simply all for now, though.
