The Washington Football Team kicked off their preseason schedule with a gritty 22-13 loss to the New England Patriots. They faced some tough decisions right after, though, with the first training camp cut date approaching.

Washington Football Team Training Camp News

Washington has made their first round of cuts to get down to 85 players.

Washington Football Team Training Camp Cuts

The Washington Football Team announced two players were released in to get down to Tuesday's 85-man limit: tight end Nick Guggemos and cornerback Greg Stroman. Guggemos is a former undrafted free agent that previously spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, failing to earn an official roster spot with either team.

Stroman started three games as a rookie in 2018 after being selected as a seventh-round draft pick. He was released an injury settlement after finding himself on the Physically Unable to Performance (PUP) list. This allows Washington to potentially bring him back when healthy, the earliest being Week 7.
