The Minnesota Vikings don't seem to be getting complacent after their 3-1 start. On Tuesday they added some depth to their defensive line by signing nose tackle Khyiris Tonga from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad.

Now in his second season, Tonga spent the 2021 campaign with the Chicago Bears before being waived at the 53-man roster deadline this year. The Falcons signed him to their practice squad shortly thereafter, but he has yet to see any game action in 2022.
Tonga showed some promise as a rookie last season drawing two starts and appearing in 15 games for Chicago. He contributed 24 total tackles, including one for a loss.
The 26-year-old will look to have a similar impact with Minnesota, where his 6-foot-4, 338-pound frame could come in handy on the Vikings' defensive line. Given his previous NFL experience, Tonga looks like a solid pickup as far as depth options go and could play a role for Minnesota later this season.
