The Minnesota Vikings could not find consistent success last year, leading to an 8-9 record and massive personnel changes by hiring of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as GM and Kevin O'Connell as head coach.

Adofo-Mensah and O'Connell must make smart decisions this offseason in order to turn things around, and NFL.com projects them to do exactly that in their recent free agent predictions.

Vikings Free Agent Rumors

NFL.com tabs the Vikings to sign the underrated Miami Dolphins EDGE rusher Emmanuel Ogbah.

Free Agency Predictions

Minnesota ranked second in team sacks (51) and third in QB hurries (91) a year ago, but the opportunity to sign Ogbah is just too good to pass up. Reports suggest the Dolphins will not franchise tag Ogbah, letting a player with 9.0 sacks in back-to-back seasons test the open market.

One consideration the Vikings must make is the potential departure of Everson Griffen, who also hits free agency this offseason. It'd be a smart swap to trade our for a younger, similarly reliable EDGE. Ogbah has also been healthier throughout his career, missing only a handful of games since 2016.

The Vikings do have more pressing needs on defense, notably in the secondary, but this could be an opportunity that's too good to pass up.
