Vikings Meeting With Exciting Wide Receiver Prospect Before Draft

It's officially NFL Draft month, and teams will be on the clock in just a few short weeks. That means the pressure is on franchises to get final looks at the top prospects before potentially making them a part of their organization.

Ahead of the draft, the Minnesota Vikings are making sure they get to know an exciting wide receiver.

Minnesota is scheduled to host a visit with WR Jordan Addison, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2. The USC standout will be very busy this month, as he's also set to meet with the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants and New England Patriots, among others.

Addison cemented himself as one of the top wide receivers in the nation during the 2021 season, hauling in 100 catches for 1,593 yads and a whopping 17 touchdowns at Pitt. He then transferred to USC for the 2022 campaign, posting 59/875/8 in 11 games before declaring for the draft.

The wideout projects as a prototypical slot weapon at the next level. He's not the biggest at 5-foot-11 and 173 pounds, but he has speed for days, which he combines with precise route running to regularly beat defenses.

The Vikings could certainly use a legit threat like Addison to complement Justin Jefferson, especially after the departure of Adam Thielen this offseason. Kevin O'Connell's offensive acumen would certainly help Minnesota get the most out of Addison if he joins the Vikes later this month.
