Everyone knows that Tua Tagovailoa's slide to No. 5 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft had nothing to do with talent. It was the hip injury, and his general injury history, that made investing in him a risky proposition.
But all that concern around his health has caused some to forget how good this kid really is. He's the highest-rated passer in NCAA history (199.4). And this All-22 video from a 2019 meeting between Alabama and South Carolina should remind fans how talented Tua is.
On the day, Tua went 28-of-36 for 444 yards and 5 touchdowns to zero interceptions. That's a ludicrous 12.3 yards per attempt while completing 77.8 percent of his passes.
He showcases everything in his bag here. A rocket arm, pinpoint accuracy and ball placement, and the ability to read a defense like an NFL veteran.
If he's healthy, the Miami Dolphins could be a surprise contender for the AFC East crown in 2020.
