At his peak, Brandon Jacobs was one of the toughest players to bring down in the NFL. The New York Giants star had two 1,000-yard rushing seasons, one of which even saw him record 15 touchdowns. And the 6-foot-4, 260-pound RB often did it with a punishing running style.
Despite that, 5-foot-10 linebacker London Fletcher still managed to light up Jacobs.
Fletcher absolutely obliterates Jacobs here, leaving his feet and launching into him like a heat-seeking missile. He showed no fear against a running back that had put plenty of defenders on his highlight reel with punishing hits of his own.
To Jacobs' credit, though, he gets up pretty quickly, appearing more-or-less unfazed by Fletcher's hit.
Though he was undersized, Fletcher was one of the best linebackers in the league during his prime. He was named to four consecutive Pro Bowls, leading the league in tackles with 166 in 2011. Fletcher also recorded at least 111 tackles in every season from 2000-13, but this was undeniably one of his most impressive hits.
