When it comes to hard-hitting safeties, there are few better in the league right now than Harrison Smith, of the Minnesota Vikings. Clips like this are exactly how you earn a reputation like that.

Unfortunately, Amari Cooper's time with the Oakland Raiders will be remembered more for plays like this than big stat sheets. In his defense, though, Derek Carr's slightly off-target throw is the primary reason he got laid out.

Smith lives for hits like this, as most defensive stars do. You have to think Amari heard footsteps the rest of the game after this one.

But to Cooper's credit, he managed to stay in the game despite this hit. He finishes the day with a solid line, hauling in 5 receptions for 79 yards on 9 targets.
