Adrian Peterson may be the unquestioned greatest running back in Minnesota Vikings history, as well as the franchise's all-time leading rusher, but he doesn't hold all the records.

The longest run in franchise history belongs to one of Peterson's contemporaries: Chester Taylor.

In 2006, the year before the Vikes drafted AP, Taylor broke off this incredible 95-yard touchdown run against the Seattle Seahawks. It looked like he was stopped in the backfield, but he broke free and outran the entire defense.

That '06 season was one of Taylor's best a s a pro, as he notched a career-high 1,216 yards while scoring 6 touchdowns on the season. Of course, when playing alongside a generational talent for his next three years in Minnesota, Taylor never got another chance to be a feature back.

The longest run Peterson ever managed in Minny was an 82-yarder. If the team can get a long-term deal done with Dalvin Cook, however, he could have a good shot at being the man to break Taylor's record. Cook already has at least one run of 70-plus yards in each of the last two seasons.
