VIDEO: Remembering LaDainian Tomlinson's Tenure With the Jets
By Max Staley

LaDainian Tomlinson is one of the greatest running backs in NFL history. His name is essentially synonymous with the now-defunct San Diego Chargers, where he racked up the majority of his 13,684 rushing yards and 162 total touchdowns.
But even the most ardent NFL fans can be forgiven if they forgot about LT's two-year stint with the New York Jets.
Tomlinson made 29 appearances for the team, starting a total of 14 games. And while he was nowhere near his peak, he was actually pretty effective. He racked up 1,194 rushing yards and 9 total touchdowns.
LT even made an appearance against his former team, though he took a backseat to his running mate Shonn Greene. Greene handled 20 carries for 112 rushing yards during this Week 7, 2011 contest while Tomlinson saw 8 touches for 51 yards from scrimmage. Notably, Gang Green gave Tomlinson the start in this one – the only start he'd make in the 2011 season.
Even though he was pretty solid in New York, seeing Tomlinson in a Jets jersey will forever remain an NFL oddity.
