VIDEO: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce Have Perfect Reaction to Mecole Hardman Muffed Punt

The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to Super Bowl LV after defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship. After a slow start to the game, which was headlined by a muffed punt by wideout Mecole Hardman, things looked grim. Then the team turned it on in the second quarter and the rest was history.

Hardman was visibly upset on the sideline after his mistake, but Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Tarvis Kelce had the perfect reaction to make sure the wide receiver didn't labor on it.

Kelce greeted Hardman right after the play, offering some words of encouragement. Then the franchise QB came over, telling Hardman that he was going to make a big play later in the game. Mahomes is apparently psychic, as Hardman ripped off a 51-yard run on a jet sweep and grabbed a touchdown in the second quarter.

Hardman was obviously concerned about putting his team in a losing position, but both Kelce and Mahomes brought words of optimism. It's what the wideout needed to hear, especially with his fumble occurring in just the first quarter.

The leadership of Kansas City's stars was certainly on display following their teammate's mistake. It should be no surprise that a team this talented and invested in each other's success has found itself on the cusp of becoming back-to-back Super Bowl champions.
