Joe Burrow probably wishes that he could get a do-over on his rookie season after it came to a halt after tearing both his left ACL and MCL. However, this isn't a video game, which means Burrow will just have to come back with a vengeance in 2021.

Bengals fans got their first look at Burrow back in action during the team's practice on Monday. ESPN's Ben Baby posted a short video of it on his Twitter, but it was more than enough to get the Cincinnati fanbase excited about their quarterback's on-field return.

Joe Burrow News

The fact that Burrow looks as comfortable as he did in the video is great news. There wasn't any limping, nor did he look sensitive went planting his foot down. Assuming everything progresses as expected, there's no reason not to believe that Burrow can't improve on what he already did in his rookie year.

The former LSU Tigers signal-caller completed 65.3% of his passes in his rookie campaign for 2,688 passing yards and 13 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Ultimately, it was the Bengals' offensive line that led to Burrow's injury. Despite only playing in 10 games, Burrow was sacked 32 times — tied for the 11th-highest total in the NFL last season.

Fortunately for Burrow, the Bengals made it a goal this offseason to better the team around him. They're reuniting him with his former LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase and have improved the offensive line in front of him. If all goes well, Burrow should show the football world what he's truly capable of.

Cincinnati is a bit of a longshot to win the Super Bowl this season. FanDuel Sportsbook has given them +10000 odds to win, which is tied for third-worst across the league. Nevertheless, Burrow's hopeful development this season will bring the Bengals one step closer to a Super Bowl in the near future.
