VIDEO: Jacob deGrom Throwing a Baseball is Sight for Sore Eyes of Mets Fans

The 2022 New York Mets are a story of early perseverance, playing to the National League's best record nearly two months into the season without ace Jacob deGrom. Making matters worse, Max Scherzer just landed on the IL himself.
Fortunately, recent reports suggest deGrom is on the track for a potential return and 2022 debut as early as late June. The dominant ace hasn't pitched in MLB action since early July of last year.
The good news got even better on Tuesday when a video surfaced of deGrom's rehabilitation throwing program. It's certainly a sight for the sore eyes of Mets fans everywhere.

Jacob deGrom Injury
deGrom has already begun this throwing program, but this is a first glimpse of the two-time Cy Young winner throwing since Spring Training. The 8-year MLB veteran made two Spring Training starts before his latest injury, a stress reaction on his scapula, sidelined him back in April.
Things are continuing to look up for the dominant ace and his Mets squad. deGrom's presence, alongside a healthy Scherzer, gives New York the best one-two punch in baseball. Scherzer is sidelined for 6-8 weeks with an oblique injury, but could be back in the rotation by July.
New York already touts the fourth-best odds (+850) to win the 2022 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook, and those odds are likely to sweeten when both deGrom and Scherzer get back on the mound.
