Missing football during the offseason? Drew Brees fans can throw it way back to fill the void with some seriously retro footage of the future Hall-of-Famer's high school football days at Westlake High School.

Brees and Westlake won the 1996 5A Division II championship in impressive fashion, capping off their season with a 55-15 blowout win.

Brees won the Texas 5A Most Valuable Offensive Player award as Westlake cruised to a perfect 16-0 season, throwing for 3,528 yards and 31 touchdowns on 211-of-333 passing that season. Despite the impressive outings, Brees received only two NCAA scholarship offers — Kentucky and Purdue.

That's when things really started to click, and he earned himself a second-round selection in the 2001 NFL Draft.

And of course, we went on to become one of the NFL's all-time great passers, holding the all-time records for career passing yards (77,416) and touchdowns (547).

Brees is a lock for the Hall of Fame, and it's incredibly cool getting to see throwback footage of the early days of his football life.
