VIDEO: Deebo Samuel Trucks Bears Defender for 49ers' First TD of 2022

The San Francisco 49ers kicked off their 2022 season on the road against the Chicago Bears in Week 1. These teams are battling some unfortunate field conditions after heavy rain passed through the air in the morning.

However, any concerns about the field didn't stop Deebo Samuel from scoring a highlight touchdown in the second quarter.

Samuel lined up in the backfield and found his way into the endzone, just like he did countless times in 2021. To kick things off this year, the wideout lowered his shoulder into Bears safety Eddie Jackson to punctuate the touchdown run.

It appears the fourth-year pro will be a menace on the ground once again after his dual-threat abilities led to a First Team All-Pro nod last season. Samuel racked up 8 TDs and 365 yards on just 59 rushing attempts in 2021.

Samuel handled six carries in the first half for San Francisco, totaling an impressive 40 yards. The 49ers hold a 7-0 lead over Chicago at halftime. Live NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook peg San Francisco as 10.5-point favorites at the break.
