Week 2 of the NFL preseason kicks off with a Chicago Bears vs. Seattle Seahawks showdown on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. As their team looks to go 2-0 in exhibition action, Bears fans will be even more hyped following the injury updates regarding two of their top rookies: wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. and cornerback Kyler Gordon.

Bears insider Daniel Greenberg reports that both rookies will make their NFL debuts against the Seahawks on Thursday. The promising duo missed last week's preseason opener with undisclosed reasons, so it's good to knwo that the issues seem to be behind them.

Bears Roster Rumors

Bears fans have been anticipating both players' debuts for quite some time. They're both top-75 picks from this year's NFL Draft and are expected to help Chicago turns things around after 11 straight seasons without a postseason victory.

The Bears hope that Jones can be a big part of the passing game after impressing during practice this offseason. The only legitimate Chicago WR aside from Darnell Mooney, Jones was impressive in his final season at Tennessee by recording 62 receptions for 807 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games.

After Chicago only surrendered 191.6 passing yards per game last year (No. 2), Gordon will be counted on to help continue the trend. The former Washington product had 45 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble while also finishing sixth in the Pac-12 with seven defended passes.

It remains to be seen how much playing time Jones and Gordon see against the Seahawks. Nevertheless, both Bears rookies are seriously talented and may only need a handful of snaps to gain even more support in the Windy City.

Bears vs. Seahawks Odds (Aug. 18)

The Bears need Jones and Gordon to live up to their potential to help beat the Seahawks. After all, FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Chicago as the 3-point road underdog for Thursday's preseason tilt.
