After a trio of brilliant seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu continues to shop his services on the open free agent market. He's arguably the best player still available, recording 13 interceptions over the last three seasons and received a solid 76.4 coverage grade from ProFootballFocus in 2021.

While Mathieu ponders his next move, he did hint at his desire to play for the New Orleans Saints. In fact, Honey Badger tweeted this interest on Wednesday afternoon in a Twitter exchange with current Saints safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Gardner-Johnson kicked off the exchange with a simple tweet, suggesting it's time for the "Mathieu and Ceedy Era" followed by the suggestive eye emojis.

Mathieu replied quickly with a pair of emojis: the fingers crossed and clapping hands/prayer hands (up to interpretation).

Either way, this is a simple sign: Mathieu would love playing with CGJ down in New Orleans.

Honey Badger has obvious roots to the Saints. He was born and raised in New Orleans before shinning at LSU during his collegiate days.

It's a dream that Saints fans will pay close attention to. The team holds more than $26 million in cap space so they have the ability to make this happen.
