Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf Fantasy Outlook Hold Strong With Seahawks Re-Signing Josh Gordon

The Seattle Seahawks passing game just got even better, as the team has officially re-signed wide receiver Josh Gordon.
For fantasy football purposes, however, it's still Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf that are going to be the focal points, and neither one of their fantasy outlooks takes much of a hit with Gordon signing.

To start with, Gordon's applying to be reinstated following his fifth suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy in December, 2019. It's far from a guarantee that he plays a full season, especially considering the fact that he hasn't played more than 12 games in any one year since 2013.
His presence also didn't hold back Lockett or Metcalf much when he did suit up in 2019. In five games with Gordon active, his 11 targets ranked just fifth on the team. Metcalf led the offense with 33 targets (a 22.8 percent market share), and Lockett saw 24 (a 16.6 percent share).
With the versatility to play in the slot (where he played 60.1 percent of his snaps in 2019), Lockett's flexibility means he will be a crucial part of this offense whether Gordon is starting across from Metcalf on the outside or not.

With so many question marks surrounding Gordon's outlook, fantasy managers don't need to worry about how this will impact Lockett and Metcalf's value.
