The Minnesota Twins opened the season with some pretty high expectations. Thirty nine games later and it's safe to say those have not been met. Minnesota owns a 13-26 record, giving the team the worst record in the majors.

Boasting a top-10 scoring offense, it's clear the lineup isn't the problem. The same cannot be said for the pitching staff, however. In fact, this insane stat shows just how bad that group has been this year.

Willians Astudillo, a utility player for the team, took the mound during Minnesota's 16-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Monday. He gave up one run (a homer) during 1 inning of action, leaving the game with a 4.50 ERA.

Astoundingly, that's actually as good as or better than 12 of the 19 pitchers who have pitched for the Twins this season.

All told, Minnesota's team ERA is 4.93, which is the third-worst mark in the majors. Maybe the team ought to let Astudillo take the mound a little more often.
