Olson was already popping up all over MLB circles and those rumors heightened after the A's dealt starting pitcher Chris Bassitt on Saturday. It looks like Oakland is shopping its wave of All-Stars and MLB insider Ken Rosenthal pegs the Guardians as a strong landing spot for Olson.

Rosenthal cites Cleveland's financial flexibility ($163 million over luxury cap) and a strong farm system (top-10) as reasons why. The A's reportedly asked the New York Yankees for top prospect Anthony Volpe in pre-lockout trade discussions, meaning the asking price is high.

Olson is a premier talent at first base. The two-time Gold Glover slashed .271/.371/.540 a year ago with 39 home runs and 111 RBIs.
