Top Fantasy Football Streaming Tight Ends for Week 10

The tight end position is a pretty tricky one. Outside of a few elite producers at the top of the position, there just aren't that many proven assets. The position can also be extremely matchup-dependent, making streaming the position (or picking up a new tight end off the waiver wire) a pretty effective strategy.

Here are our top tight end streaming picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 10.

3. Irv Smith Jr., Minnesota Vikings (7% Rostered)

Irv Smith Jr. has flown under the radar, but like the Vikings team he plays for, he's really been rolling recently. He's put up double-digit PPR points in three of his last four outings, which is certainly not something most waiver wire TEs can say. A matchup with the Chicago Bears is not exactly encouraging, but Chicago oddly gives up the ninth-most PPR points to opposing tight ends, so it's not nearly as bad of a spot for Smith as you may think.

2. Ross Dwelley, San Francisco 49ers (8% Rostered)

Ross Dwelley was our No. 1 pick for this article last week, and he responded by turning 3 targets into 3 catches for 52 yards. That's not exactly mind-blowing production, but it's nothing to scoff at either. Against a New Orleans Saints' defense surrendering top-seven production to tight ends, Dwelley could be a great start here.

1. Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns (42% Rostered)

Austin Hooper was understandably dropped in quite a few leagues due to an emergency appendicitis situation that led to a multi-week absence. But now that he's likely coming back, he should be in for a pretty solid showing in Week 10. Hooper has recorded at least 6 targets and 5 receptions in each of his last three appearances, and he should benefit from one of the softest matchups possible. The Houston Texans are a bottom-10 passing defense by Football Outsiders' DVOA metric and allow top-10 PPR production to opposing tight ends. Look for Hooper to return with a bang in Week 10.
