The kicker position is easily the most overlooked part of any fantasy football roster. Most fantasy players probably drafted a kicker with no plans to think much about the position until their starter's bye week rolled around.

That's leaving points on the board, though. It may not be fun to spend time every week thinking about the kicker position, but it can be incredibly valuable.

With that in mind, these three kickers, all available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues, are great options to grab off the waiver wire to start in Week 6.

3. Matt Prater, Detroit Lions (at JAX)

The Detroit Lions rank 30th in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric this season, while the Jacksonville Jaguars rank 32nd. In other words, this game should be a shootout. That should involve plenty of scoring on both sides, making it easy to like Matt Prater, who has already scored at least 11 fantasy points in two of four games this season.

2. Dan Bailey, Minnesota Vikings (vs ATL)

Speaking of potential shootouts, the Minnesota Vikings are 3.5-point favorites over the Atlanta Falcons in a game that FanDuel Sportsbook gives a 54.5-point over/under. Dan Bailey has 17 fantasy points over his last two games despite missing a field goal in each, and he should get plenty more scoring opportunities in this one.

1. Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers (at TB)

Plenty of fantasy managers dropped Mason Crosby when he was on bye in Week 5, but it's time to pick him back up. Crosby has double-digit fantasy points in three of four games this season, and his 10.5 per game rank No. 6 at the position. He's the No. 2 ranked kicker in our Week 6 fantasy football rankings, and he does not belong on the waiver wire.
