The Tennessee Titans are fresh off their third straight playoff berth and will be looking to lock down an AFC South title in 2022. Finding a way to improve the roster during the offseason is a must for this front office, but Todd McShay has Tennessee making an unexpected pick in his latest NFL mock draft.

Titans Mock Draft
McShay projects the Titans to select edge rusher George Karlaftis at No. 26 overall. Karlaftis is a stud and posted 29.0 tackles for loss to go along with 14.0 sacks in 26 college games played with Purdue. However, the Titans are loaded along the defensive line and have much more pressing needs.
Tennessee tied for the ninth-most sacks during the 2021 season (43.0) and saw three players finish with more than 8. Denico Autry, Jeffery Simmons and Bud Dupree will be back in the fall and the team should go all out to re-sign Pro Bowler Harold Landry. Depth has clearly already been established.
Meanwhile, the Titans allowed the seventh-most sacks in the NFL on the offensive side of the ball (47.0). Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was constantly on his back and being forced to scramble. They also lack a starting tight end capable of making an impact in both the running and passing attack.
When it comes down to it, the Titans can solidify the defensive line later in the draft without suffering a huge downgrade in talent. Grabbing a surefire starter capable of improving the offense is simply a better option moving forward. The 2022 NFL Draft is set to kick off on Thursday, April 28.
