Titans Bring Back Former Player to Boost QB Depth

The past few weeks have seen several starting quarterbacks go down with significant injuries. Tennessee Titans veteran Ryan Tannehill has had his own health struggles in 2022, and any absence this late in the year could doom the team's playoff chances.

The Titans are being proactive on that front, bringing back a former player to boost their depth.

Tennessee is re-signing QB Kevin Hogan to its practice squad. He gives this team an experienced option behind Tannehill that has familiarity with the system.

Hogan has been a journeyman for most of his career after entering the league in 2016. Hogan only spent a couple of months with the Kansas City Chiefs, the team that drafted him, before being released and signing with the Cleveland Browns. He started one game for the Browns across two seasons, then spent time in Washington, Denver and Cincinnati.

The former Stanford QB then joined the Titans and made appearance for the team in Week 12 of the 2021 season. He played seven snaps against the Houston Texans and didn't attempt a pass.

At the very least, Hogan shores up Tennessee's depth chart at a time where capable signal-callers are being scooped up left and right.
