A pair of sub-.500 AFC teams will clash in the NFL's Week 9 Thursday Night Football matchup as the New York Jets (2-5) visit the Indianapolis Colts (3-5).

Thursday Night Football Fantasy Picks

The Colts enter the TNF clash as the 10.5-point favorites over the Jets, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

If you need some help building your fantasy lineup, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy

Start Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Indianapolis Colts: Michael Pittman Jr. has been hot as of late, scoring an average of 19.0 fantasy points (PPR) in his last three games. That makes him the WR6 during that span. Now, he has a matchup against a Jets secondary that has allowed 340.7 passing yards per game over their last three contests — the most during that time. Considering that Pittman has four touchdowns in his last four games while hitting at least 86 receiving yards three times in that stretch, his outlook is looking promising for Thursday night.

Michael Carter Fantasy

Start Michael Carter, RB, New York Jets: The Jets have been getting Michael Carter more involved now, keeping him on the field for at least 70% of the time over the past two weeks. That's led to him scoring 48.6 fantasy points in PPR, which only trails Alvin Kamara (50.5). A lot of that success has come from Carter seeing 23 targets in addition to 26 carries over the last two weeks. With the game script pointing to the Jets trailing, the rookie RB could see a lot of targets out of the backfield again. If that's the case, he's a great play, especially in PPR formats.

Mo Alie-Cox Fantasy

Sit Mo Alie-Cox, TE, Indianapolis Colts: Mo Alie-Cox entered Week 8 by catching four touchdown passes in his previous four games. Unfortunately, followed that up by catching zero of his four targets during last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans. While tight ends have had success against the Jets this season (12.2 fantasy PPG, 10th), Alie-Cox has played 51% or less of Indianapolis' snaps six times this season. That's just not enough playing time to be consistently fantasy relevant. He's also finished with fewer than four fantasy points in half of his games, making him too risky of a pick to recommend.

Mike White Fantasy

Sit Mike White, QB, New York Jets: Mike White shocked a lot of people in his first NFL start last week, making 37 completions for 405 passing yards and three touchdowns to two interceptions. Now that the Colts have seen him play, don't expect that kind of performance again. Indianapolis is tied for the seventh-most interceptions (9) and have held opposing QBs to just 215.0 passing yards per game over their last three contests (T-9th). A lot of pressure comes with playing in primetime and White just might not have the experience on how to deal with it yet.
