This Vic Fangio High School Football Photo is an Awesome Throwback
By Tristan Jung

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio has been around the block. He started coaching at Dunsmore High School in 1979 and has steadily risen up the ranks since.
Recently, some photos of Vic Fangio’s early days in football have surfaced, and he looks completely unrecognizable. Fangio is No. 24 in the back left of the photo below.
Fangio can’t be more than 18 in that photo. He is a son of a tailor who lived in the heart of the Rust Belt, but he always seemed destined for coaching. Unlike many coaches, however, this is the only appearance of Fangio as a player that we’ll get.
Fangio quickly showed immense talent in coaching and became a high school coach in his own right a few years after graduating from East Stroudsburg University. Just seven years after starting off in high school, he was hired by the Orleans Saints, and his defensive mind has taken him to numerous high-profile defensive coordinator jobs.
His success with the Chicago Bears earned him the Denver Broncos job. Although the team went 7-9 in 2019, Fangio's Broncos look poised for a huge year in his second season at the helm.
