Houston Texans fans are hoping that 2022 NFL first-round picks Derek Stingley Jr. (No. 3) and Kenyon Green (No. 15) feel comfortable as they transition to the NFL. The dynamic duo gets to further embrace the community on Thursday with their exciting role during the Houston Astros' MLB game.
It's been revealed that Stingley and Green will throw the ceremonial first pitch on Thursday evening when the Astros host the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park.

Rangers vs Astros First Pitch
Countless athletes and celebrities have thrown out the first pitch at MLB games over the years. Some pitches have gone well, while others will be remembered in history for all the wrong reasons. It'll be fun to see which side of history the Texans' pair lands on.
There's a lot of excitement regarding Houston's top two rookies, especially Stingley as the third overall pick. Injuries held the safety to just 10 games over his final two years at LSU but he demonstrated elite potential with six interceptions and 15 passes defended as a freshman in 2019.
Meanwhile, it shouldn't take Green too long to become a Houston fan favorite. The 6-foot-4, 323-pound guard possesses the versatility to play any offensive line position except for center and already has a link to the state after spending three seasons at Texas A&M.
Aside from Stingley and Green's presence, Astros fans could have more celebrating to do on Thursday. FanDuel Sportsbook has Houston as the -225 moneyline favorite at home over the Rangers, who sit as +188 underdogs.
