The Washington Football Team is fighting to win the NFC East division but will have to do so without their No. 1 receiver this week against the Carolina Panthers. Terry McLaurin was ruled out due to an ankle injury that caused him to miss practice all of this past week.

Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook

This is obviously a major blow to the Washington offense as well as fantasy football rosters. It erases any fantasy value McLaurin had heading into this week. He looked good last week as he hauled in 7 of his 12 targets for 77 yards. Simply put, he was quarterback Dwayne Haskins' favorite top option in the passing game.

Someone will have to make up for the large target share McLaurin was receiving. He has seen at least 6 targets in every game this season. Cam Sims and Steven Sims Jr. are expected to be the players seeing extra opportunities with McLaurin out this week. However, they have a combined 8 catches for a total of just 50 yards over the past two games.

In the end, it would be hard to trust either one of these receivers to step up in fantasy football right now. There just isn't enough upside or proven consistency. Losing McLaurin is huge and there doesn't seem to be an immediate solution.
