Tennessee and Purdue have had two different March Madness experiences. Tennessee beat No. 15-seed Colgate by a score much smaller than expected and followed that up by blowing a 25-point lead to No. 10-seed Iowa before grabbing the overtime victory.
Purdue, on the other hand, has beaten its opponents by an average margin of 19.5 points through the first two games. Despite the different paths, the Boilermakers open up as one-point underdogs according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Before you place your Sweet 16 bets, let's take a look at what some of the experts are saying about this No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup.

Pete Fiuak, of College Football News, believes the Volunteers will win and cover. Even though the Volunteers have struggled through the first two rounds of the tournament, he sees them as the better team. They have enough talent to control the game from start to finish and slow down Carsen Edwards on the defensive end.

Sports Illustrated
SI believes the Volunteers advance. This game is essentially a pick 'em and now the fuel from last round's close win could provide Tennessee the edge over Purdue. Winning two halves of basketball, especially on the defensive end is what SI believes the path to victory for the Volunteers is.
ESPN BPI
The two experts above aren't the only ones who believe this will be a close one. The only difference is, ESPN believes that it'll be Purdue who wins. The BPI gives the Boilermakers a 50.7-percent chance to win, which goes to show just how tight this matchup could be.
Overall, thats two out of three experts picking Tennessee to win and cover the spread, with ESPN being the only ones to give Purdue the edge in grabbing the victory.
