Ted Ginn Jr. Fantasy Outlook Points to Big Game in Week 2 Against Rams

The speedy, veteran wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. may not be as quick as he once was, but he's still playing well for the New Orleans Saints. Possibly most important of all, he seemingly has the trust of Drew Brees, which bodes well for Ginn ahead of a Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams that figures to be a high-scoring affair.
Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn both had over 100 receiving yards tonight. Thomas had 123 and Ginn had 101. Saints last had two players with over 100 yards receiving last season on road against Falcons.

In Week 1, Ginn came away with a number of big catches, including two on the crucial last drive to win the game. Ginn finished the game catching all of his seven targets for 101 yards, but how he was targeted is most important.
Once solely a deep threat, Ginn proved last week he is more than that. He was target three times within 10 yards, three more times between 10 and 20 yards, and he converted his lone target of over 20 yards for a 41-yard gain.

Last week was not an anomaly, as Ginn was targeted at least six times in all six games he was healthy for in 2018. In his last two games against the Rams as a member of the Saints, Ginn has turned 17 targets into 10 catches for 129 yards.
While there are a number of mouths to feed in New Orleans, Ginn could be fantasy viable in Week 2.
