T.J. Watt Tweets Hilarious Response to Primanti Bros Job Offer

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt suffered a pec injury in Week 1 that will cause him to be sidelined for at least six weeks. Once he was placed on the injured reserve, it didn't take long for a legendary Pittsburgh restaurant to reach out with a job offer. Watt then issued a hilarious response on Twitter.

Primanti Bros, the sandwich shop that has been serving Pittsburgh residents since 1933, extended an offer that featured a "light duty" role for Watt. Of course, no further strain on his pec would occur as the job includes tasks such as greeting guests, taking online orders and seating new customers.
Watt responded by saying he would "tackle anyone who orders fries and slaw on the side." Primanti Bros' signature sandwich features both of those ingredients right on the sandwich and Watt clearly wants it to stay that way. It's a sandwich that also has steak, cheese, egg and tomatoes on it.
Keep in mind this isn't the first time Watt has been linked to the chain, as he stopped by in 2017 during his first day in Pittsburgh and began manning the grill. It's safe to say he will be focusing on a return to football for the next month, though, rather than selling sandwiches.
The three-time All-Pro will certainly be missed on Pittsburgh's defense. After all, Watt was named the AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 after leading the NFL with 22.5 sacks. The Steelers managed to outlast the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 without him, but Watt's absence is likely a significant factor in Pittsburgh being 2.5-point home underdogs against the 0-1 New England Patriots on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
