The Super Bowl coin toss is one of the most popular prop bets on Super Bowl Sunday. Along with the National Anthem, bettors have no shortage of excitement going on before the game even kicks off.

Who Won the Super Bowl Coin Toss?

The Super Bowl 55 coin toss came up heads, and the Kansas City Chiefs won the toss. The Chiefs called heads, and were correct. Winning the toss, Kansas City elected to defer.

Recent Super Bowl coin toss history had seen tails hit in five of the last six years, so this breaks that trend.

Super Bowl Coin Toss Results & Odds

Prior to kick off, both heads and tails were available at -103, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The coin toss winner has gone on to lose six consecutive Super Bowls, so the Chiefs will be hoping to snap that trend as well.
