The Pittsburgh Steelers are optimistic about turning things around after a productive offseason. Top wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster was re-signed, the team drafted running back Najee Harris in the first round, and new offensive coordinator Matt Canada is already teasing some exciting things.
Fans will be disappointed, however, by the team's sudden change of venue for training camp.
Steelers Training Camp 2021
The Steelers's plan to host their 2021 training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., was denied by the NFL due to COVID protocols. It's the second straight year the team has been unable to have camp at Saint Vincent, which hosted them for 54 years prior to the pandemic. Instead, Pittsburgh's training camp will be split between Heinz Field and the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
Fans in the area will surely be let down by the NFL's decision. But, with stadiums returning to full capacity this season, they'll still have the chance to catch the Steelers at home in 2021.
