The Pittsburgh Steelers would like to turn the page quickly on Week 2 of the NFL season. Not only did Pittsburgh suffer a disappointing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but the team finished the game without its best defender in TJ Watt and leading wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Watt was knocked out of the game early with a groin injury while Johnson put up a solid game (9 receptions, 105 yards) before exiting late with a knee issue.

Steelers fans can breathe a big sigh of relief after seeing Monday's initial injury report.

TJ Watt Injury Update

According to reports, Watt looks on track to potentially play in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Groin injuries are always tricky and have a tendency to linger. Still, seeing reports that the three-time Pro Bowler already has a chance to play is welcomed news for the Steel Curtain.

Watt was up to his usual dominance before exiting. Although he played just 24% of the defensive snaps thanks to this injury, the two-time All-Pro recorded 5 quarterback hits, 3 combined tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

Diontae Johnson Injury Update

Johnson's injury was equally as concerning before Monday's injury report. The 27-year-old wideout also avoided a major injury and he's still TBD for Week 3, but it won't be a long-term issue.

Johnson has led the Steelers in targets each of his first two NFL seasons and was off to a fast start, recording 14 receptions for 141 yards and 1 touchdown through two weeks.

Pittsburgh looks to rebound from Sunday's loss with a convincing victory over their divisional rival Bengals. Heading into the Week 3 clash, the Steelers enter as 4.5-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook.
