The SEC dominating the field in college football is really nothing new, and neither is the conference's commanding presence in the NFL Draft. The SEC has produced the most draft picks by conference in each of the past 14 NFL Drafts, and it doesn't look like that record is going to end this year either.

SEC First-Round Draft Picks 2020 Odds

The SEC is currently projected to produce north of 15.5 first-round 2020 NFL Draft pick, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. While the over/under sits at 15.5, the odds on either side of that outcome tell the story further with -152 heavily favoring the over, compared to +120 on the under.

Most First-Round NFL Draft Picks by Conference Record

In fact, this 2020 SEC draft class could be so loaded that it sets a new NFL Draft record for the most first-round picks taken from the same conference in one year. The current record for this number is 12, of which the ACC and SEC both share a claim, with the ACC doing it first in 2006 and then the SEC matching this mark twice in 2013 and 2017.

For some added perspective on just how unprecedented this number would be, FanDuel Sportsbook is currently reflecting even odds on whether the SEC (-112) or all other conferences combined (-112) will produce more first-round draft picks. And conferences such as the Pac-12 and ACC are sitting with over/unders of just 2.5 each.

As for the breakdown of this whopping 15.5 total projection by school, to little surprise, Alabama and LSU are sitting tied for the most projected first-round draft picks with 5.5, with Georgia behind them at 1.5.

Just by looks of this year's SEC landscape, I think it's safe to say most college football fans could have seen yet another loaded draft class coming out the conference. But this year's class has now evolved with a shot to go down in the history books as the most loaded ever.
