Sean Payton Already Recruiting Star Free Agent to Broncos

Last week, the Denver Broncos named Sean Payton as the 20th head coach in franchise history. And to no surprise, he's hit the ground running. He's been busy working on the remainder of his coaching staff this past week and also understood the importance of roster construction.
In fact, Payton was already recruiting a star free agent on Thursday.
Josh Jacobs joins the show and @SeanPayton gives him high praise:

“He was always consistently playing well and so I’m glad he’s a free agent, I encourage everyone to look at him... maybe we look at him” 👀

On an appearance with FanDuel's Up and Adams, Payton joined Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs is headed for free agency this offseason after the best year of his four-year career, posting a league-leading 1,653 rushing yards alongside 12 touchdowns and more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage.
Payton teased the free agent about joining his franchise. "[Jacobs] was always consistently playing well and so I'm glad he's a free agent, I encourage everyone to look at him.. maybe we look at him," said Payton.
It's more of a subtle approach, but Broncos fans should take Payton seriously. The running back room has a lot of questions after Javonte Williams's season-ending knee injury. While the young back showed great talent in his first 1.5 years, knee injuries can ruin a running back's career. Plus, there's no denying that Jacobs is one of the best backs in football.
