After just a brief hiatus, legendary New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is back in the NFL after becoming the Denver Broncos' next head coach. He's eager to fill out his coaching staff and is eyeing a number of his former assistants, some of whom are still working in New Orleans.

It was revealed Tuesday that Payton is trying to steal two members of the Saints' coaching staff.

The list includes Declan Doyle and Kevin Petry, both of whom are assistants on Dennis Allen's current staff. Petry has spent three years working as assistant to the head coach/offensive assistant and has been with the franchise since 2017. Meanwhile, Doyle just finished his fourth season with New Orleans as an offensive assistant and has ties to college football via his stint with the University of Iowa.

If one thing is clear, it's that Payton wants to recreate as much of his Saints' staff as possible at the beginning of his Broncos' tenure. Kris Richard and Dan Roushar have also been linked to Payton's new staff.

For now, the Broncos hold +3500 odds to win the Super Bowl in 2024, per Super Bowl 58 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
