The Buffalo Bills made several costly mistakes during their Week 10 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. Quarterback Josh Allen struggled with turnovers during the game, and he unfortunately hurt the Bills in this contest, who fell 33-30 in overtime despite having a win seemingly in hand.
After a mistake-filled outing, head coach Sean McDermott had an encouraging message for his QB.
McDermott wants his quarterback to know that "I believe in him." The coach called Allen a "special" player and person, offering reassurance that they'll get past this tough loss.
It's great to see McDermott backing up his QB despite the off day. Allen is usually someone who wins Buffalo games, so it's hard to harp on one bad performance, especially since he's playing through a serious elbow injury.
Though Allen can't control his elbow issue, he can control his execution and decision-making. He failed in both aspects on Sunday, committing three total turnovers, including the game-sealing INT in the red zone down three points at the end of overtime. His mishandling of the snap at the end of the fourth quarter also helped Minnesota force OT in the first place.
