The Seattle Seahawks improved to 8-2 after defeating the formerly unbeaten San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 11, 27-24. Pretty impressive, right? Well, not according to CBS' latest NFL power rankings.
Despite this win, Seattle actually dropped down a spot, from No. 6 to No. 7, and is now sitting behind Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. Not to take anything away from Minnesota, but it's hard to fathom that beating an 8-0 team on the road in overtime can hurt a team's standing in the league.
Entering Week 10, Seattle was listed at +3000 to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, but those odds have since improved to +1400 following the Seahawks' victory over the 49ers.
It may take a couple more wins for Seattle to gain the national respect it deserves, but it seems that oddsmakers are taking notice, at least.
