Rockies Remove Trevor Story From Thursday's Game With Arm Injury

The Colorado Rockies (19-31) were given a scare on Thursday as shortstop Trevor Story was forced to leave an afternoon bout against the New York Mets (23-20) with an apparent arm injury. The two-time All-Star was pulled during the fourth inning. He was 0-1 at the plate on the day while also recording a walk.
While there's no telling how much time he'll miss, Story's injury is just the latest thing to go wrong for the Rockies this season. However, considering how his removal was a precaution, there's a chance that it's nothing too severe.

Rockies News: Trevor Story Injury
While there have been rumors that Story could be moved by the July 30 trade deadline, the severity of his injury could affect his trade stock. If it's worse than expected, the Rockies won't be able to get back as much as they'd hope for by trading away the two-time Silver Slugger.
Assuming he's healthy, Story would fit in on any team looking to get better ahead of the postseason. The 28-year-old has recorded 46 hits in 180 at-bats this season for 5 home runs and 23 RBI. His 12 doubles are the most on the Rockies, showcasing his clutch ability to get extra-base hits. At the end of the day, you can't put a price on a championship and a player of Story's caliber could help with that, no doubt.
There's still over a month until the July 30 trade deadline, which gives Story plenty of time to heal and improve his trade stock. Regardless of whether they keep or move him, the Rockies and their fans just want Story to get back to full health as soon as possible.
