Robert Woods Injury Update Sends Odell Beckham Fantasy Outlook Soaring

This weekend has been a rollercoaster for the Los Angeles Rams. On Thursday they signed Odell Beckham Jr., giving them arguably the most dangerous WR trio in the league. But it turns out they also just lost a key piece of that trio.
Robert Woods Injury Update
Robert Woods has suffered a torn ACL, ending his season. That means Odell Beckham Jr.'s fantasy football outlook just got a massive boost.
On the same day that the team signed WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams’ WR Robert Woods tore his ACL at practice Friday, sources tell @diannaESPN and me.

Odell Beckham Fantasy
Beckham promised to offer boom-or-bust fantasy value as the Rams' WR3, but with Kupp leading the NFL in receiving and Woods soaking up nearly 8 targets per game, his volume was set to be hit-or-miss.
Now Beckham is the clear WR2, stepping into the role that allowed Woods to thrive as fantasy football's WR12 in PPR scoring.
Woods saw at least 9 targets in four separate games this season, and his 69 targets rank No. 20 in the NFL. The Rams throw the ball an above-averaged 36.1 times per game, and even with Kupp soaking up the WR1 volume, Beckham should get more than enough work to offer consistent value.
It's been a while since we've seen Beckham look like a star, but as long as he's anywhere near as good as he once was, he should have no trouble reestablishing himself as a weekly starting option in fantasy football now that Woods is out.
