After losing rookie running back Breece Hall to a torn ACL, the New York Jets made a move to bolster their backfield with the acquisition of James Robinson. Robinson is expected to play significant role on offense, but head coach Robert Saleh remains non-committal about when exactly he will debut.

NFL insider Rich Cimini reports that Saleh has yet to commit on whether or not Robinson will suit up against the New England Patriots on Sunday. It's hard to tell if Saleh is keeping the decision behind closed doors in order to build an advantage or if Robinson may not know enough of the playbook yet.
No matter what, Jets fans have to be watering at the mouth to see Robinson in action. The 24-year-old has logged 2,789 yards from scrimmage and 22 touchdowns across 35 career games. in 2022, he is averaging a reliable 4.2 yards per carry and has racked up 118 yards after contact in seven games.
Robinson has been practicing with the Jets since Wednesday, so it's safe to say he has had an opportunity to get into rhythm with his new teammates. Keep in mind former Jaguars quarterback Mike Glennon always praised Robinson for his ability to "pick up things pretty quickly" as an NFL pro.
Michael Carter has drawn the start at RB in 16 of his 21 career games, meaning he knows what it takes to be the first one to set the tone. Seeing him command the workload with Robinson being sprinkled in seems like the most likely outcome here. That may change down the stretch, though.
FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds list the Jets as 2.5-point home underdogs against the Patriots.
