Reid Detmers Shared Priceless Reaction to Throwing No-Hitter

Los Angeles Angels rookie starting pitcher Reid Detmers made history on Tuesday night, tossing a no-hitter against the Tampa Bay Rays in just the 11th start of this MLB career.

In a moment fitting only for professional sports, Detmers was on the field for a live postgame interview in front of the raucous fans left at Angels Stadium after the final out.

Overcome with emotion as the Angels crowd praised him a deafening standing ovation, Detmers had trouble finding words for the biggest moment in his professional career.

"You guys are awesome. I don't even know what to say, just thank you. Thank you for coming out," began Detmers in this conversation with Bally Sport West Angels host Erica Weston. Weston followed up, asking the young pitcher at what point he knew tonight could be "special."

"I'd probably say around the 6th, I don't know. I just blacked out, I don't know," said Detmers.

Talk about pitching in a zone.
